Melissa Fine Attending Berklee College of Music
18 year old singer-songwriter Melissa Fine will be entering her freshman year at Berklee College of Music. At 14, Melissa dropped her debut album, Here To Stay, which landed 43rd on the iTunes New Pop Releases chart within the first week of its publication. Her drive and dedication for growth as an artist shines through with each new endeavor. Her passion for music reaches further than the stage. She is an advocate for the local LGBTQIA community. Her songs draw inspiration from her struggles with friendship, identity, and confidence as well as her accomplishments.
Melissa had a busy summer! She released her music video to her original song “Rainbow Eyes” on Youtube, a smooth ballad advocating for LGBT rights. She’s been playing shows all over, making the most of her summer performances. She was featured at Berkshire Pride, Jamaica Plain Porchfest and downstairs at the Middle East Nightclub in Cambridge. She’s been working hard writing new music and collaborating with other musicians. Her interview with Boston Free Radio gives more incite to how excited she’s been to be living her dream.
When she is not writing original music, Melissa creates exciting vocal mashups of popular songs with the help of her loop pedal. Throughout the process of releasing two albums before her 18th birthday, she has developed skills in production, collaboration, and arrangement.
Artist on the Move is proud to work with Melissa and cannot wait to see what her first year at Berklee College of Music brings her. Keep an eye out on this young rising star.
