Loving the live mic

“I’ve wanted to get involved in co-hosting since I was a young teen.”-Noah Tompkins
Noah Tompkins, singer songwriter, loves performing and recently discovered he loves another form of live performing, co-hosting live radio shows. Noah was a feature songwriter on The Villen’s Den, affiliate of Boston Free Radio, and after getting to know the host, Chris Haskell, and co-hosts, in December 2018 was invited to return to co-host a show and it’s continued each Thursday since then. In his role, Noah interviews Boston area musicians and singer songwriters and industry VIPs on the Thursday evening shows which air 7-9 PM both on their Facebook page and FM radio. He will also be participating in the Villen's Den new podcast which will be available on iTunes. Noah is loving strategizing with the Villen’s Den team to come up with new content ideas for future shows. He can’t wait to take a camera crew on the road in Boston to tape people’s quick responses to Q&As on fun subjects like what’s your favorite pizza in the Boston area.
Noah loves the show’s spontaneity and how the broadcast is unrehearsed and completely live. He loves the surprise of it all and the quick-witted dialogue and responses. Being able to work in a state-of-the-art facility, and see each show come together is exciting and powerful. Noah’s three words to describe his experience is fun, exciting and surprising. He can’t wait to put his ideas into action with the hosting team, with host captain Chris Haskell and co-host Kali Soddard-Imari, and add more diverse content to the program through adding new creative ideas, segments, interviews and utilizing all production elements.
The Villen’s Den is up for Best Banter Award in Boston's Broadcast music awards on March 8th which Noah plans on attending.
In additional to his weekly co-hosting position, Noah is writing music hours each day and is preparing to record his new EP. Four songs are written, “Blue hue of your drink”, “Lost in Color”, “Honey Hair” and “Cherry Cola”, and are being recorded with D-Sharp International Studios.
Noah Tompkins has the drive and ability to play in any environment; from the theater stage to a full on rock band, to his acoustic solo set, he comes with a classy sound and a new attitude. His songs are lyrically engaging and his smokey baritone tone quickly captures new listeners. From the Hard Rock stage to your local coffee shop, Noah is always willing to perform and connect with his audience.
Artists on the Move is thankful to be working with so many top young artists who are always seeking new opportunities to advance their careers. We wish Noah well in his new role with The Villen’s Den, and look forward to the release of his debut EP.
